Some movies are really really good, critically acclaimed, well performed, well directed, well received by all but sadly not reached to all the people. Maybe because of the star names weren't that big, or maybe they just predicted its not that good or maybe less promotion.
There are plenty of movies which are really underrated. I am going to write more about them. Today we are living in a world, where I don't think people are passing much of time searching for the good old movies. And also, countless movies gets released every single year. So people have so many options these days but less time. It's not possible to watch them all. But you must have to upgrade your movie watching quality and to do that, you have to see these gems.
Here I am going to mention 5 movies which are absolutely brilliant, but people didn't go crazy for them or didn't earn billions in box office when they got released.
2) Edge of Tomorrow(2014) :- Do you remember how frustrating it became when Dr. Strange caught Dormammu in a time loop? Dormammu killing him in different way and he just keep coming back again and again and again - "Dormammu, I came to bargain". Even I got frustrated watching that scene.
But you are not going to get frustrated on this one, this movie is similar like that. Tom Cruise got caught in a time loop, probably a misspell from Dr. Strange I guess, Kidding. He tries to convince Emily blunt and others and try to fight aliens to save the human race.
When I gave it a shot, I was confused too, what is happening? But later I was just in awe. Great job done by both lead characters and great directing by Doug Liman. Visuals were absolutely amazing. A movie that should have earned in billions, but oh. If you haven't watched it, and thinking about watching something interesting, give it a shot.
3) Oblivion (2013) :- Another movie of Tom Cruise and also starring Olga Kurylenko. I think this is one of the underrated movies in this list. It got mixed reviews. But I think it's really entertaining.
In a post apocalyptic world, Tom Cruise repairs drones that protecting the Earth, end up with something which is exciting. I don't want to spoil the movie honestly. The visuals are absolutely stunning, I didn't see it on theater and I regret it. I don't know why it got mixed reviews, probably people saw many movies like this. But this one is really good.
4) Ex Machina (2015) :- This is I think the best in the list. An Academy Award winning movie. The whol world should've went crazy for it. What a brilliant piece of art this was. Absolutely one of the best movie I ever saw. Alicia Vikander, Oscaar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson all of them did a really good job. First to last a breathless run.
Probably one of the best science fiction film ever made, but I hardly see people talking about this movie in their articles. If you haven't watched it, give it a shot, you won't regret.
5) 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) :- Another movie which will make you crazy and questions will appear in your head. When I started watching it, I thought it's a psycho movie. Where an old man kidnaps a girl and probably he is going to torture her and later she'll be able to escape somehow. I thought this is how it's going to be. Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Goodman were played the main two characters - Mary and Howard.
Mary had an accident, when she woke up. She is chained by Howard in his basement. Every time Mary tries to escape, Howard tells her to calm down and she is safe with him, just don't go outside. Now what happens in the end going to blow your mind. So, a must watch movie. Really an interesting one.
